Period Blood Loss Calculator
A rough illustration of menstrual fluid volume based on how many pads and tampons you use per day and how absorbent they are labelled. Brands differ; this replaces neither a clinician nor formal bleeding scores used in clinics.
Enter an average day from a typical heavy day of your period. “Regular” vs “super” should match what the package says. If you mix products, estimate the closest average.
Number on a heavier day you’re describing.
Separate line item from regular pads.
Whole tampons used, not partial hours unless you summed carefully.
Separate from regular tampons.
Estimated fluid proxy
≈ 106 ml
Interpretation hint: Very heavy pattern in this crude model—talk to a clinician about bleeding and anemia testing. Seek urgent care for soaking through hourly, fist-sized clots with symptoms, pregnancy with bleeding, or anything that feels unsafe to you.
Track over time
Save your numbers on different cycles. If the heavy pattern stays high or you feel unwell, bring the log to a clinician. You can also link from your period calendar.
Important usage notes & limitations
Reproductive timelines interact with contraception cessation, PCOS phenotype, transgender hormone therapy intensity, low body-fat athletic amenorrhea, and perimenopause. Hormonal contraception intentionally suppresses natural ovulatory signals until washout stabilization — calendar methods become meaningful only once cycles resume reliably.
